30 Station Road, innovative design for a sustainable future

The latest office building to be developed in CB1. Positioned directly opposite Microsoft Research and next door to the prominent 50/60 Station Road. 30 Station Road offers 79,000 sq ft of office space over seven floors. Its innovative design is described as a ‘cube within a cube’ – a construction that provides a stylish contrast to the surrounding mix of architecture. New technologies and metering systems help reduce water use by 40% compared with similar buildings and ensure that it exceeds the Government ‘baseline’ targets for fuel and power use by more than 25%.

On the roof, nesting boxes provide safe habitats to encourage local wildlife. Whilst at ground level there are 302 bicycle spaces in secure, two-tier racks and Shefield stands. There are also 10 electric car charging points in the basement.
